Hi, and thanks for stumbling across my little corner of the internet. My name is Dan, and I’m a Web / Software Developer. I’m 21 years young and currently studying BSc (Hons) Multimedia and Internet Technology and The University of Salford. Technology is my life. I’m surrounded by it, and I love it. I practically live on the web, either playing with things and expanding my knowledge, or spending far too much time on my favourite game: EVE Online. You’ll no doubt find many references to this throughout my blog, as not only do I like to play it, I like to develop tools for it.

My programming speciality is server side development using ASP.NET (C#) and MS SQL, however I have a good working knowledge of front end technologies. I also have good experience with the configuring and running of both Windows and Unix web servers, using services like IIS and Apache. Infact, this blog is hosted on my own dedicated hardware.

I’m currently on an Industrial Placement from Salford University, at Inspire Tech UK LTD as an in-house web/software developer using C#.

I’ll be honest, I’ve never been good at being able to sell myself and my skills. I hope that this blog will provide the medium that I have been looking for in order to do just that, and to build up a decent e-portfolio of my work.
